Swami Gangeshananda Attains Mahasamadhi

Swami Gangeshananda of Chinmaya Mission Kanpur and Prayagraj Centres, took final refuge at the feet of Pujya Gurudev at Prayagraj at 1:40 am on 27 July 2024, at the age of 55.

He attended the 5th batch of the Vedanta Course at Sandeepany HIM, Sidhbari, under the guidance of Swami Subodhananda. In 1995, he received Brahmacharya Deeksha and was given the name Brahmachari Vishwesh Chaitanya.

In February 2009, he received Sannyasa Deeksha from Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda. He went on to be the Resident Acharya of two Vedanta Courses in Hindi, at Sidhbari.

Swami Gangeshananda served in various parts of North India, including the Mandhana Ashram. He was also responsible for overseeing the work of Hindi Publications of Chinmaya Mission for a period of time.

He will be remembered for the seva he lovingly offered to Chinmaya Mission.
