Introduction

The Chinmaya Mission France was founded in 1992 under the inspiration of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. The CMF is being served by Swamini Umananda, who, inspired by her meeting with Swami Chinmayananda in 1983, studied in India under his leadership before dedicating herself to the spread of this teaching. The CMF aims to help raise France in the philosophy of Vedânta, whose profound message, dynamic and of high purity, is particularly relevant to our modern world. The Chinmaya Mission France pursues this goal through the publication of books and organizing educational activities. The programme of activities for the Chinmaya Mission France offers everyone the opportunity to discover the secret life of a positive and dynamic, through traditional Vedantic lectures based on the study of the Scriptures and put into practice on a daily basis.
