Karma Sanyasa does not mean stopping all actions, but dropping the doership attitude. This will help in achieving quietitude and tranquility of mind. Sanyasa is not renouncing duty or taking delight in escaping from duty; but being fully active and yet remaining in equilibrium when faced with the dwandwas in life. One should lead life like a lamp with a Sakshi Bhava and not get affected by the events taking place around him. It is necessary to purify the mind through sadhana as the world appears the way the mind sees it. The world always remains the same; it is the mind which qualifies what a person experiences. So it is necessary to have a calm and composed mind at all times.
The Yajna was well attended.

Devotion towards the Lord can be in the form of idol worship through body, mind and intellect or meditating upon the formless nature of Godhood with a clear understanding of the essence of Self. Both ultimately lead to the realisation that “I” am not the body but the life principle illuminating all names and forms in the universe. But to attain this state of supreme bliss one has to go through the initial path of selfless work dropping the Ego and rise above all dualities surrendering all karma at the feet of the Lord and accepting the fruit with a Prasada bhava.

Tossed in the sea of life most of us have lost our strength to face even the smallest calamity and resort to seek peace in the silent forests. Bhagavad Gita clearly indicates that renunciation is not an outward appearance but attitude of mind to renounce the fruits of all action and lead a selfless life developing positive thoughts through control of senses, mind and intellect through study of scriptures and deep thinking. An attitude of practice is more important than getting stuck to unnecessary details of the means maintaining the serenity of mind and bringing it under one’s control.

It is foolish to wait for an incarnation to bring about some miracle, but to imbibe the noble qualities of our puranic characters to lead a better life and bring peace and calmness to our surroundings by purifying the mind from negative qualities to attain the higher Truth. Religions are divergent to suit the varying temperaments, but all lead to the same ultimate Truth. The root cause of all misery is attachment and the best way to get over the attachment is to drop the feeling of doership and perform all actions as His will accepting whatever comes in the process as His prasad.
