Course Author The Bhagavad-gita Course is authored by Pujya Swami Tejomayananda, the Head of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide. Pujya Swamiji is a master of Indian spiritual literature. He is a renowned teacher of Vedanta and an author of many commentaries as well as independent texts on Vedanta and Bhakti literature. This course indeed offers the crystallised, experiential wisdom and insightfulness of Swamiji, in a style characterised by clarity, depth, and profundity couched in the comforting style of simplicity, causeless compassion, and accessibility. It bears the same mark of understated elegance and excellence of which Pujya Swamiji is a living embodiment.

It provides holistic, insightful coverage of the entire text in a lucid and simple style without compromising on the salient features of this priceless knowledge. This Bhagavad-gita Course is indeed the proverbial ‘philosopher’s stone’ transforming our lives from being 'reactive' to become 'effective'.

Course Eligibility Mahatma Gandhi said: “The Gita is the universal mother. She turns away nobody. Her door is wide open to anyone who knocks.” This encapsulates precisely the universal nature of the eligibility criteria for this course. CIF welcomes anyone who wishes to bring about a qualitative improvement in their way of life to take up this course. Though Sanskrit verses are provided for further reference, knowledge of Sanskrit is not required as the medium of instruction is English.

Course Duration This is a 15-month home study course with a total of 30 lessons to be studied. Students are required to study two lessons a month. At the end of each fortnight, the Questionnaire pertaining to the lesson studied is required to be answered and submitted. Further Course material will be sent thereafter. Non-receipt of answers regularly will be taken as dropping out of the Course.
