Chinmaya Jayanti at Nagpur

Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s 108th Jayanti celebrations began with great enthusiasm and devotion by devotees, Bala Vihar children and members of Chinmaya Yuva Kendra from 3 May to 8 May 2024.
On 3 May an Annadaan project was held by donating one months’ grocery like wheat, rice, various types of pulses, sugar, cooking oil etc. amounting to Rs. 37,000/- to “Ramashray Care Centre” run by Dr. Urmila and Dr. Ravindra Kshirsagar. The couple takes care of about 40 senior citizens needing medical care.
On 5 May, Prabhat Pheri with Pujya Gurudev’s Padukas was taken from Chinmaya Sadan in Ramnagar at 7 AM and it passed Rama Mandir, Hanuman Mandir, Cement Road, Shivaji Nagar and back to Chinmaya Sadan. Enroute many devotees performed Paduka Puja and Arati.
On 6 May “On A Quest“ the BIOPIC movie was shown at Seva Sadan Hall at 6.30 in the evening.

On 7 May evening at 6.30 PM Matru Pitru Puja was organised at Amrut Bhavan (Andhra Association) Hall. About 71 children worshiped their parents. The objective of this programme is to instil a sense of respect for parents in the minds of children and to uphold this respect and honour throughout their lives. Mahaprasad was distributed to everyone.

On 8 May morning Paduka Puja, Satsang and Annadaan were organised at Chinmaya Sadhana Kendra Paunar. Devotees from Wardha, Amravati and Yavatmal had gathered for the Celebrations. More than 25 devotees performed Paduka Puja. After satsang, Annadaan and Vastradaan was done for 200 people. Ashatai Yete and Swamini Bhadrananda put great efforts for the success of the lovely celebrations.

On 8 May evening at 6.30 PM Paduka Puja was performed by 108 devotees at Amrut Bhavan (Andhra Association) Hall. Brahmachari Suchet Chaitanya conducted all the rituals and chanted the Shatanamavali of Pujya Gurudev. After the Puja, Bala Vihar children chanted Guru Stotram and Bhagavad Gita Chapter 12. There was a beautiful slide show of Pujya Gurudev’s videos and in the end a special song for the 108th Jayanti was played.
