Pujya Swami Swaroopananda, Mukhya Swami, Chinmaya Mission was given a warm reception on his first visit to Krishnalaya Piercy in the Shruti Hall. On this auspicious day of Vyasa Purnima also celebrated as Guru Purnima, Swamiji informed everyone that academic courses at Chinmaya University, Pujya Gurudev’s dream project are commencing. The Guru Paduka Puja sankalp was dedicated towards Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Chinmaya University) and conducted by Swami Shivatmananda from Austin, TX. Pooja was followed by a short talk by Mukya Swamiji expounding on the significance of Guru sishya parampara. He also explained the importance of preserving our culture and the role of Chinmaya University in preserving our culture. Everyone gathered chanted Guru Mantra 108 times and the environment reverberated with energies of the chanting in unison.
