With the aim of spreading the message of Pujya Gurudev Sw. Chinmayananda to maximum number of people, the Chinmaya Mission, Noida organised a children’s painting competition. Sw. Nikhilananda, Regional Head, Delhi & NCR, chief guest SSP (Traffic), UP Police, Shri Rajiv Narayan Mishra and other dignitaries lit the lamp and Sw. Chidrupanandaji of Noida Centre declared the competition open.
Nearly 2500 school children of Delhi-NCR region from 20 different schools, participated in this competition held for the VIIIth consecutive year on 9th November 2014 at the Vishwa Bharti Public school, Noida. There were 5 categories of students from KG to Std.12th. The little ones could paint anything they chose and the senior students were given themes like Mauj Masti; Jungle as you Imagine; Beauty of a River and Feel India. The panel of judges constituted of senior art faculty of various schools and institutions. The prizes were in the form of Trophies, Mission publications, Certificates and Gift vouchers. World of Wonder, SMC Global, Malhotra Jewelers, Shri SK Gupta were the sponsors of this event.
The UP Police (Traffic) availed this opportunity to hold a traffic awareness programme for the parents of the partcipants.
“It is simply beautiful to see children expressing their thoughts in form and colour. This is the real Rang Bharo, which in turn fills their minds with beautiful ideas”, feels Sw. Chidrupananda.
The event is coordinated by a strong team of Balvihar Sevaks, Chyks, and other members under the able guidance of dynamic Sw. Chidrupanandaji whose enthusiasm has made the event grow in popularity over the years.
