Pujya Swami Brahmananda conducted a Satsang on Ganapati Atahrvasheersha at Sripaadakshetra, J P Nagar on Sunday March 15, 2015 to bid goodbye to Jaya Samvatsara and welcome Manmatha Samvatsara. The Satsang can be summarized as that the greatest fear in human history is the fear of disease and death and that the root cause is identification with the body. Lord Ganesha who is attributed to be the lord of all senses instills in us the true knowledge that the Self is beyond the body and helps in leading a fearless life devoid of all negative tendencies. All our experiences in the waking, dream and sleep states are supported by the all pervading everlasting Consciousness which is the witness to all our actions but remains untainted by them. Just as all waves take birth, are supported and dissolve into the ocean all our experiences ultimately dissolve into the cosmos leaving only the completeness – Sat Chit Ananda which is our real nature.
The Satsang commenced with bhajans from Devi group members and later Pujya Swami Ramatmananda, chief executive of KCST gave a bird’s eye view of the mission’s programmes for the next year.
The Satsang was attended by over 500 mission members from different parts of the city.
