Introduction

Alpharetta, a northern suburb of Atlanta, saw the birth of Chinmaya Bala Vihar began with 25 children on the auspicious day of Mahashivratri in March 2001.

The Bala Vihar program began under the auspices of CM Atlanta. By the Lord’s grace and Pujya Gurudev’s blessings, CM activities and membership in Alpharetta grew in leaps and bounds every year. CM Alpharetta was officially formed as a CMW center in July 2007 and was incorporated in 2008.

In July 2010, the center has purchased a 6.5-acre property in Alpharetta, which Pujya Guruji visited and blessed as “Chinmaya Gurukul.”
