gokulChinmaya Mission Bakersfield, named Chinmaya Gokul by Swami Tejomayananda was inaugurated in July 2006. The centre is spread over 10,000 sq ft. It is a very active centre. In the shrine is the most captivating marble idol of Lord Krishna, the Divine Flute Player with mother cow standing behind the Lord.
